Equipment

UHP rental fleet. Separate ST-17 Spider line.

40,000 psi-class pumps, jetlances (dry shutoff guns), and hoses with Type M or tube and nipple terminations. 55,000 psi pumps and robots are for hire only. ST-17 baskets rent, repair, and sell as a separate access line.

For hire only

The equipment below is available for rent with technical support. ST-17 air powered Spider baskets are also sold and repaired. 55,000 psi pumps and crawler robots — magnetic or vacuum-adhered to the structure — are for hire only. Those stay with SurfaceJet on robotic projects.

Robotic applications

55,000 psi pumps

SurfaceJet carries both vacuum and magnetic robotic equipment. 55,000 psi UHP pumps are for robot applications. These units feed crawlers that are magnetic or vacuum-adhered to the structure — hulls, tanks, and large industrial steel. 40,000 psi pumps are used for other applications. Most coatings will fracture at 36,000 psi or less, depending on coating condition and coating type.

For hire only

Magnetic or vacuum-adhered crawlers and 55,000 psi pumps stay with SurfaceJet. 40,000 psi-class pumps, jetlances (dry shutoff guns), hoses, and ST-17 Spider baskets remain available for rent below. Most coatings fracture at 36,000 psi or less, depending on condition and type.

What we rent

UHP pump systems

01

UHP pump systems

Skid-mounted 40,000 psi-class pumps for coating removal and other non-robotic work. 55,000 psi pumps are for robot applications only. Most coatings will fracture at 36,000 psi or less, depending on coating condition and coating type. Inspected, serviced, and pressure-tested before every shipment.

  • 40,000 psi-class pumps for handheld and other non-robotic applications
  • 55,000 psi pumps reserved for robotic applications
  • Most coatings fracture at 36,000 psi or less, depending on condition and type
  • Diesel-driven skids sized for shipyard and plant work
  • Gauges, safety circuits, and interlocks checked prior to dispatch
Jetlances are dry shutoff guns

02

Jetlances are dry shutoff guns

Operator tools for handheld UHP work. Jetlances are dry shutoff guns: releasing the trigger stops flow at the lance. There is no dump stream at the operator. Excess water dumps at the pump through the unloader. Rotary attachments for production coating removal.

  • Jetlances are dry shutoff guns — no dump at the gun
  • Trigger release stops the jet; the pump unloader takes the flow
  • Rotary nozzles and orifices
  • Operator-side fittings and whip hoses
Hoses, fittings, and parts

03

Hoses, fittings, and parts

UHP hose strings on reels, adapters, and consumables consigned with the spread. UHP hoses have either Type M or tube and nipple terminations.

  • UHP hose assemblies with Type M or tube and nipple terminations
  • Type M fittings or tube and nipple ends, as required
  • Adapters, couplings, and manifold assemblies
  • Whip hoses with burst shield and abrasion-guarded HP hose
  • Valves, orifices, and spare kits

A-3000

Model A-3000 Jetlance

Dry shutoff gun: hold both triggers to run; release and flow stops at the lance. No dump stream at the operator. Excess water dumps at the pump through the unloader.

High pressure, low water volume, and a fast rotary head. Rated to 55,000 psi. Handheld spreads typically run on 40,000 psi-class pumps. 55,000 psi pumps stay with robotic work.

How the spread connects

Water leaves the pump, runs a 40,000 psi hose, and feeds two A-3000 Jetlances. Each hose end is Type M female, or tube and nipple if that is what the job is spec’d. Use one termination on the whole string.

Hose ends

Standard: 40,000 psi Type M female. Alternate: tube and nipple, if the job is spec’d that way. Match pump outlet to Jetlance inlet. Do not mix ends on one string.

  • 15 ft (4.5 m) UHP hose and 15 ft air hose between the tumble box and the lance
  • Multi-orifice cleaning tips and Fanjet nozzles
  • Optional stem extensions: 15 in., 26 in., and 38 in. (381, 660, and 965 mm)
  • Optional shield, shroud, and shoulder stock

Safety

The A-3000 operates above 110 dBA. Operators and anyone nearby need protective clothing, eye and hearing protection, helmet, leather gloves, and steel-toe footwear with metatarsal guards. Never point the tool at a person. Keep 10 ft (3 m) of clearance. Full requirements are in Chapter 2 of M-279.

02With every UHP rental
